You are quite correct - the other reason we have never seen any is that we go the wrong time of year !!! We need to be there in the spring time before they fly off to cooler climes!

Fascinating stuff on the telly last night! Ever wondered why we never see a god damned Puffin?
Its because there are only ~seven pairs of them. There used to be 3000 of them before the black rat arrived. But now the black rat has been booted off or rather killed off! So hopefully Puffin numbers will now rise.
The best place to see our Puffin friends is off St Phillips stone! Hare(s) take note!
