It is my understanding that hosting a qualifying rally takes more
effort and last year the hosting club (Beverwyk) was a bit disapointed
in the low turn out. My memory say's there were only 3 qualifying rides.

So, to prevent going to the extra effort when not necessary I
suggested to Kelly (Waechter) that she push back on the members to see
how many teams were interested (and have the resources) to go to the
Championships. If there are no members even thinking about taking
their horse to Virgina than it doesn't make sense to have qualifying
Rallys. But, I believe all it would take is a few clubs raising their
hands to say "Yes!" we have members who want to qualify and have the
ability to get their horses to Virgina. If that happens I think Kelly
is game to make the Rally qualifying.
