Frank, using a wing on a Manta Twin would be too difficult due to the weak structure of the Manta Twin and the fact that the mast struts would prevent hardly any wing rotation.
Best to build a new fuselage and axle and front springer like the larger solid wing boats. If you ever are in the Reno/Tahoe area or I get to ride over the Sierras on a motorcycle (one of six I have) I can show you wing boat photos going back to 1991. I am the usual photo trophy guy at the America's Landsailing Cup regatta and seem to know how to steer a Fed 5 or Manta Twin pretty fast most of the time. I even have some "stick" time in winged boats (Splinter and a Fed 5 wing prototype Kent Hatch had).
Mark Harris, part-time wing pusher until I get one of Phil's prototypes!!!!!!!!!
