The problem I could see by extending a twin is that the wing needs to have about 30% of its area behind the rear axle. If the wing is too far forward then you can't steer because the side pressures create a lee ward helm. If you could make some thing similar but slightly smaller version of what Phil Rothrock or Ben Gooch use it would be perfect. One of the requirements of wings is a nice big stable platform that has positive control for the wing as well as the right placement of the wing to balance the boat.
