Re: New guy with a bunch of questions

Hi John,

That video and other web site answered just about every question, thank
you so much for sharing this great information!

I live a a small airport (Twin Island Airpark CEE6) and there is a
small 1.5 mile X .6 mile lake right next to the airstrip in front of my
house. I plan to iceboat there. There is a much bigger lake 3 miles
to the south and Ghost Lake is about 3.5 hours S.W. of me. We also get
some strong N.W. and S.E. winds which are crosswind to the 3000' grass
airstrip that we have. It only 100' wide, so I do not know if I could
land sail there or not? I might need to install some brakes to get
turned around?

I'm currently working 12-15 hour days, so I will not be building in the
next day or two.

Phil

Thanks for the response! So when you are powered up and cruising what is the average angle of attack of the main wing? And what is a normal flap setting? How...

The main wing can range from 15 to to 5 degrees at speed. I usually run 20 to 30 degrees of flap .Less if its blowing hard. We have found a chain and sprocket...
