Description

This web site is dedicated to wing developement for use on dirt and iceboats. We have created some plans from several previous sucessful wings to create a small, simple, and inexpensive wingboat called the ST 49. Check in the files section under ST 49 drawings for detailed drawings of my ST 49. We have made up some box rules for the ST 49. See files section under ST 49 design rules. The rules allow for open design with some limitations to the boats size and wing area. A couple design parameters allow the boat to be very simple, easy to transport, setup and affordable to build. This boat could be raced as a landsailer in the Nalsa open design class 5 class. There is an opportunity to race as iceboats too. I have spoken with Paul Krueger about racing wings in the ISA. He said they wouldn't allow a wing to compete in skeeter class but if we entered 3 or more wings they may consider a separate skeeter class just for wings. John Eisenlohr US 772
