Hi Travis,

Welcome to Kentucky, but I'm afraid you're moving to a region of the state where
sailing is limited. Lake Cumberland is a tough place to sail given its
topology, steep banks, and heavy boat traffic. Cave Run Lake has a better
reputation for sailing, although I've never sailed there. Better sailing lakes
are much farther west (Kentucky and Barkley).

I live in Louisville and regularly sail on the Ohio River and Patoka Lake in
southern Indiana. I have never seen a kiter on the water around here. Local
windsurfers make annual treks to OBX. Don't lose your contacts in VA
Beach--that still might be your best bet.
It would be very cool to see you or any kite brother of the wind ripping it up
on the local waters.

I am moving to London, KY from Va Beach, VA. I enjoy kiting. I have not
wind surfed before, but would like to see if anyone has every tried
kitesurfing any KY lakes. Thanks for any info.
