Chuck,
I was actually at KY Lake this past weekend, but I had to help my Dad
build a new dock at his cabin. The wind was not much, although it may
have been nice for your wife to learn, or for you to play around a bit
getting familiar with the new equipment. I would have at least rigged
and played if I did not have to get some things done with my Dad. I
just took my gear in case it really started blowing. :^)
I have used sails with cams that performed well, but I do not own any,
nor have I had to do the rigging on them. It sounds like you have a
pretty nice quiver. I only have a 5.7 and a 7.5. The 7.5 is new
technology and I really like it. The 5.7 is circa 1985 and is tricky to
rig and to sail. I would love to get a new 6.0 and a new 9.5. Some day,
some day.
Happy sailing,
Creston
