Creston et al,

This is my first contribution to this group.. I'm a windsurfer from
Louisville who regular sails the Ohio from Cox Park and Patoka
Lake. Glad to hear folks got out last Sunday. I have sailed many
times with Jasper Ron (& Tony) at Patoka. I sailed from Cox Park
Sunday afternoon from about 3-4pm.. wind & air temps were very nice,
but water was too freakin cold.. so my first sailing day of 05 was
abrieviated.

Patoka is one of my fave places to sail.. a suggestion: when the
wind is coming out of the south (SE, SW etc), launch from the
Jackson ramp area on the north side of lake. You usually have to
work upwind to get out the cove, but expect on-shore winds to rock
as soon as you get out of the shadow.. no shlogging to get back.

It's great to find out there's other sailors around these parts..
