Wow! This past Sunday was an excellent windsurfing day at the beach on
Patoka Lake. I was planning to go to Taylorsville Lake, but when
Jesenko asked me to go to Patoka Lake, I thought that sounded like a
good idea. I had never been there, but I will certainly go there again.
The conditions were a sunny 63 degrees with 10-30 MPH winds from the
SW. When Jesenko and I arrived, a fellow by the name of Ron from Jasper
was already sailing. It was gusty, but the conditions were excellent,
and well worth the extra drive from Louisville.
Jesenko used a fairly thick wetsuit and said that we was fine
temperature wise. Ron had what he called a "wet drysuit", I think
because it leaks, and he was warm also. I debated between my wetsuit
and drysuit and finally decided on the drysuit. I ended up in the water
more than usual, mainly due to new harness lines, so I was glad I used
the drysuit. We sailed from 1:30 until about 4:45. I thought Patoka
Lake was an enchanting place. I also started my spring tan with some
sun on my face.
I hope to see the rest of you soon. If you join the WindsurfKY
YahooGroup it will be easier to communicate and find out when and where
people are windsurfing.

It is freezing today, but there are certainly warmer days on the way.
Take care,
Creston
