I'm just in from a session on Rush beach - definitely no shortage of wind and it's actually quite consistent for a change! Was overpowered on a 5.5 and didn't have anything smaller - couldn't be much different on Dollymount.
SO is it windy out in Dublin Bay or Malahide.
The Rush weather station is giving 25 knot readings, but this site oftern seems to give high readings.
Dun L is 14 knots, but I know can be sheltered in a southerly.
Bray is also only reading 10 knots. Not sure where that one is exactly.
The very useful Dollymount one has not worked for ages.
Dublin airport is 19knots, but that is not "live"
Are there any other weather stations online.
Is there anyone with some first hand on-beach info. Am desperate to get a sail but don't want to rek across town to find no wind in Malahide or Dollymount.
Thanks
Simon
