Thought you might want to know about my home for
sale, from which I can watch the wave action at Pistol
River Beach. Here's the posting I have up on
craigslist.com now:
-- Within earshot of the ocean/with a peek at the
waves hitting the beach -- .56 acres, all flat
gardenable land; solid, sweet "beach home" ("stick
built," not mobile/not manufactured), 2 story, 1154
sq. ft.; great outbuildings (the shop, 30' x 29' w/9'
tall sliding door and good concrete floor), two others
w/garage doors, one w/concrete floor, 24' x 13'
greenhouse looking right out at the ocean; ten fruit
trees; 2 wells, 2 septic tanks (one from a former home
could possibly be used for easy guest RV disposal);
GREAT expansive feel to the yard looking out across
the pastures to Pistol River, the bridge and ocean
beyond. Wonderful neighbor. Only 1 to 1.5 miles to
gorgeous ocean beach. Indoors: three bedrooms + open
area upstairs. Go to sleep to the sound of the ocean.
Just on the market, for sale by owner. $398,000. To

Be sure to click "Album with New Photos" to see the
15 posted in somewhat sensible order. For more info
about the area, check out: Wind surfing at Pistol
River Beach! http://www.big-air.com/ The winds come
and go; at this moment it’s perfectly calm, but you
can keep an eye on the wave action from right out the
kitchen window.
Pistol River Concerts! http://www.pistolriver.com/ Be
sure to look through their full concert season with
their incredible variety of offerings from blues to
bluegrass to contemporary folk to Celtic fiddle, on
and on. And the concert hall is just down the road.
Imagine passing the horses and sheep, and checking out
the salmon runs in the river on your way to the
monthly concert -- I need to clock it, maybe 2.5 miles
away.
Less than a mile to the Pistol River Loop bridge where
you can watch/or fish for wild salmon!
And then there's Gold Beach too just 11 miles to the
north, with fishing and jet boat tours up the Rogue
River: http://www.goldbeach.org/ and between the two,
Cape Sebastian State Park for seasonal whale watching!
