I have been windsurfing since 1987 and my heartbeat still increases
when I see a flag or tree bending from the effects of the wind.
Last year I started getting severe pain in one of the joints of my
right hand and could hardly rig a sail. The doctor told me I have
cartilage damage and it might improve in 3 - 6 months.
Is there anyone else out there that is feeling the effects of being
over forty like I am. Does Glucosamine really help or is it a
fragment of my imagination? :)
Anyway - after a year I finally gave up on waiting and was back out
on the water a couple weeks ago. The mild pain I still have did
not get worse , so I am looking forward to a windy fall.
The hot and humid weather the past couple weeks has slowed things
down a little bit but a cool front is on the way this coming weekend.
My favorite board of the three I own is a Bic Vivace 290. I also
have a 270 which I should sail more often since I only weigh 145lbs
and can still float it. The board I do not like is the Starboard
Go. I just can't get use to a big wide board - I hate it.
Look forward to any conversation about windsurfing. Especially once
I figure how to use all the features of yahoo groups.
