Folks,
I was looking for opinions on the reliability of commercially available GPS systems as a training tool. I have been using a Garmin forerunner 305 for a while, but one had to be returned (problem communicating with PC) and the replacement recently became waterlogged while running the Lower Yough at a fairly tame level. Are there alternatives out there to use - preferably Mac compatible? Have others had any issues with the 305 on whitewater? Any opinions/reviews would be much appreciated. Also, what do people think about using GPS systems - valuable or not versus a standard HRM? I'm very disappointed with my experiences, but would like to hear of others.
Cheers
Chris
