Here's your chance to give wildwater boats and Wavehoppers a try! If
you've never had the chance to get in one and want to challenge
yourself, meet us at the North Branch of the Potomac take-out on May
31st and June 1st. On Saturday, We will have extra Wavehoppers and
wildwater boats available for you and your friends to try out in some
flatwater first, then maybe try in some easy class 2-3 rapids. The
plan is to meet at 9:00 at the take-out. We will go up to the put-in
area and drive down to a flat pool about a mile downstream for people
to paddle around, get the feel for them. Boats and "coaches/ people in
wildwater boats" will be available until noon. A few casual short
sprints will be coordinated for those who want to.
Sunday will consist of a more formal MADS series sprint and classic
race. Races are to meet at the take-out at 9:00 again.
