1st of all, I want to give everyone that came out to support our race
#1 this past weekend, a HUGE thank you! We had a GREAT turn-out, with
21 entries!!! Had to do our good share of waiting, as usual every
year when the Pro Mod/Outlaw street cars are out, but we had some
GREAT racing, and good fellowship. Well, on with the results...James
Roberts takes the win on his '01 Suzuki Hayabusa. Fred Johnson looked
like he was on his way to a Wally and the BIG check with his Kawasaki
Z1R, with an .045 to a .127 starting line advantage, but it was not to
be! B.J. Umscheid wringed the lights a bit close in the semi's with
a .005 red-light, ending his bid for the final, but takes home some
good money for the effort. LOTS of new bikes and riders out, and I am
really looking forward to the remaining 4 Pro Bike races of the year.
Thanks again to everyone, and hope to see even more in the future!
Bryan Entz
Well, down to only 2 days for the first week of racing/testing at
WIR, only 2 weeks from the first PMRA race, and 4 away from the
first WIR Shootout. I know there is a bunch of new rides out there
for the new season, along with a few I probably haven't heard of.
Everyone let us know what all you have done over the off-season. I
just fired mine for the first time last weekend, with no problems.
Just waiting patiently to get to the track! Mitch, the check-ball
on the caliper was in the wrong side, so everything is all buttoned
up, and ready to roll! Anyone else testing/racing this weekend? See
you all at the races!
Bryan
Hello again all! We now have a released finalized schedule for 2004
season. The WDBA Pro Bike Shootout will run on the following dates:
4/24, 5/15, 6/19, 7/17, 8/21, 9/4, and 10/16. Bracket race, all-
run, .400 pro tree. $500.00 win, $250.00 R/up, $125.00 3rd/4th.
$50.00 entry, $15.00 buy-backs after 1st round only. This will be a
points earning class, with end of season awards/prizes for top 5.
Also added is a street bike class to run on the same days as the pro
bikes. No wheelie bars or slicks. All other mods acceptable. .500
full tree, bracket race. $125.00 win, $75.00 r/up. $35.00 entry,
$15.00 buy-backs after 1st round only. This will also be a points
earning class, same as above for the pro bike class. Hope to see
everyone at these races, and thanks in advance for your support!
Bryan Entz
I will keep my eyes and ears open dude. Later, Mike

Hello all, Bryan Edwards here. I am looking for some 1015 high
compression pistons to drop in my KZ1000. Haven't been able to find
any lately, and I am starting to put the motor together. Just
thought maybe somebody out there would have some info! Thanks.

The schedule is set now, and the only change, was in October, from
the 9th, to the 16th, to allow PMRA to move away from the Texas
Shootout in Houston that is scheduled for the 16th as well. As for
classes...only one. All-run, .400 Pro tree (top ambers open).
Payout is set at $1000 total pay-out ($500w, $250r-up, $125
3rd/4th). There will be monitary awards (either cash or gift
certificates) for low e.t. of the meet, and best reaction time
during eliminations. If you enter the points program, you will be
eligible to run at the E.T. Finals in September, and there will be
jackets, cash, prizes, and trophies to the top 5 at the end of the
season. Make plans now to hit all the races, and all of the PMRA's
as well! Thanks, and if you plan on going to Starbird's car show
here in January, look around. There will be a number of new car-
tire bikes in the show this year. Thanks guys, and look forward to
racing with you all in '04!!!
Bryan Entz
Thank you Julian for the kind words. Look forward to doing some
racing with you next season (just take it easy on me on the tree,
o.k. lol). Hope the dates all work for you! Thanks again!
Bryan
I would like to publicly thank Brian Entz for all the work that he
put into the dragbike class at Wichita. The hard work he has put into
this gives this track not only the best payout for motorcycles but
keeps the class alive. The other tracks in our area do not even have
a class for motorcycles so THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Julian
Hey guys, check it out!!! We are now listed on www.dragbike.com,
and they have agreed to posting pictures of the top 4 from every
race, with a story written on all the action. We are working hard
to make this work, and all we need is your support to keep getting
bigger! We are not done yet!! Working on a cash bonus (or at least
gift certificate) for low e.t. of the meet, and possibly best
reaction time in eliminations. I have a few more items I'm working
on, so keep checking in on this forum for more updates. Thanks guys!
Bryan Entz
yeah, it got sent to me this afternoon.

This class will be a points earning class, and will have a pay-out,

As far as I can tell, I can't change your e-mail address, but you
should be able to. Click on members, and find your user name. You
should be able to do it there, or you might have to change your
Yahoo login info.. Let me know if you still can't get it. If
nothing else, just sign up again under a different user, and we can
remove your old one. Bernie, got any ideas?
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
I now have a new e-mail account and the old one will die soon. The new one is
"tledwards1@...". Can you please revise the wichitadragbikeassociation
group distribution to make this change? Let me know if I need to do something
else to accomplish this. Thanks!
Terry Edwards
Thanks for replying, Chuck! Looks like with all the positive
feedback I've been receiving on here, and mostly personal e-mails,
we will most likely run the season with the $500 to win payout, as
listed on the earlier post. I have come up with a schedule that
will not conflict with ANY PMRA, AHDRA, AMA St.Louis, T&O, or NHRA
E.T. Finals (Div. 5) (at least as far as I can tell). Below is a
tentative schedule for the season. Please remember, this is
TENTATIVE, and is subject to change. It should be finalized soon,
however. Thanks again guys for all the support and replys!
April 24, May 22, June 19, July 3, August 21, September 4, and
October 9.

I will race as time and money permits, sounds interesting keep me
posted, happy holidays Chuck M.
I agree 100%! I will do my best to avoid everyone elses schedule.
Please spread the word up in your area. I think this is going to be
big, and will get even better! Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Bryan
I'll probably skip Washington, Oregon, & Maryland. A pro light
bracket class will be good practice for me. I believe that a lot of
street racers would enjoy this format better without all of the
redlights, or is it just me that does that. LOL Later Julian
