Hi everyone,

I know a lot of you know the Hix family from Virginia from going to World tournaments. They've had another tragedy in their family. Karl Hix, 28, was died in a car accident on Wednesday.

>HIX, Karl William, 28, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Franklin Andrew, Alita Faye, Carroll Ray, and Floyd Eugene Hix III. He is survived by his parents, Ruth D. and Floyd E. Hix Jr.; five sisters, Renee Cowan, Sonya McDowell, Tonya Hix, Kara Vannoy, and Charlene Hix; one brother, Thomas Hix; his grandmothers, Mary Labbe and Edith Deel; eight nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew. He is also survived by his devoted girlfriend, Mary Ann Virgil. Mr. Hix was co-owner of K&T Machine & Welding of Ashland. The family will receive friends in the Nelsen Funeral Home's Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, on Friday, June 8, from 5 to 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, at 11 a.m., with burial at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness Cemetery, Ruther Glen, Va.
