Bob {The Black Swede} Lindberg
pasted away peacefully May 21st 2007 at New Richmond hospital with family by his side. He was a long time member of Ramsey and Fridley Horseshoe clubs. During his illness (cancer) the only thing he complained about was not being able to pitch. He'll be missed by many. Bob gave up his Northwest/Ramsey Tournament leadership to others in the MGSHPA when he retired and resumed his Star Prairie and WHPA residency. He was instrumental in promoting and keeping new horseshoe pitchers in the Twin City are and in Western Wisconsin. He attended the Eau Claire tournaments as well as the Close Doesn't Count tournaments. He always wore a broad smile. Bob's family also was involved in horseshoes. Perhaps you pitched against BJ Johnson and or Dave Paul who also wore the family smile whenever a person met them. His wife, Jean, was usually occupying a scorekeeper chair.
