Sorry guys, just posted the party on facebook, but my brain is off these days...
Anyhow, I definitelly invide everybody who loves orange...

Hey, hey...

So, for those who doesn’t know it yet, I'm leaving Manchester next week and thus
there is a party on Saturday. I have to submit my thesis on Friday, what implies
that there is no time for a huge preparation...

Here is my plan: Saturday morning (after I’m sober from Friday), I go to the
supermarket and buy four main things:
- beer
- schnapps
- steaks
- sausages
up to this point where nothing fits any more in my car. And all these things can
we drink and eat on Saturday up to this point where nothing fits any more in our
stomachs.

So you see a simple German plan. If you wanna see me the last time (but not the
very last time I guess), or you have nothing else to do on Saturday, just come
along, and celebrate it the German style… BEER - SCHNAPPS and MEAT…

Bring your friend, your house pet or even your parents… As long as they drink
(and maybe also bring) some alcohol… If so just say a number so that I can
organize a sufficient amount of food…

I hope to see many of you on Saturday,
Patrick…

But be careful with the "dirty" things you say to me on Saturday,... I might
come back after my holidays in South America in the beginning of next year...
Who knows...

Hi Julia

Won't be able to make it I'm afraid as I'm off to a
stag weekend. You and Matt have a great time on the
continent.

Just a reminder that this Friday 14th September is our leaving party.
We are properly leaving next Tuesday to go and live in Hungary for the
next three years. It would be great if you are able to come and see us
off at our party. It begins at about 8pm at the bar and function room
above Stretford track. The bar is cheap and we have it until
Midnight. For those of you not racing road relays, or doing AU
training the next day (or for those who are but dont mind doing so with
a hangover), we are likely to continue the party elsewhere after.
There are buses down from Fallowfield, suggest taxi home if we are
still in Chorlton, though we may end up in town.

If you are at Charlie's birthday the night before, make this the hair
of the dog and count the two days as the warm up to Fresher's week!

Hope to see you there,
Julia and Matt

Hey Kevin,
I race quite a bit in France and have always got away with a national
fed/association card for races. For triathlons / duathlons I use my BTA card for
runs my Fellrunners Association card has done for both off road and road races.
Are you still there at Christmas and will you be doing the Issy Les Moulineaux
10k? I'll be looking for dossing space and you'll help me increase the team UK
presence at the pre race party by 100%

Bonjour one and all,

Sorry I haven't bloggued in a while but life has been très hectic.
So here I am in Paris, global capital of perfume, love and sarcasm. Working in an office, doing the commute, clocking in and out...life has certainly changed...although a local Turkish grocer that stocks WORCESTER SAUCE reminds me of the need not to get back into old habits.  Of course everyone is dead excited about the rugby world cup and I'm proud to say that the Namibian team are staying in my neighbourhood...until they get knocked out next week.  I also had a load of South Africa players walking past me in the street this week : Bryan Habana and other assorted friends speaking an amusing mixture of pidgin dutch and silly english.

Running in Paris has hit a stumbling block. All races require a doctors note before they let you take part. Before I left for Paris I visited my GP who gave me a ten-second diagnosis that consisted of 'are you a smoker? no. that's ok then' but unfortunately he still hasn't posted my bill of good health to me.  Still, running in my area is quite fascinating- where else can you run past a geode (like in the crystal maze) and an abandoned nuclear submarine? I also have to confess that I've regressed to running with an MP3 player- which slowly cooks you from within. Then it gets stuck on Kylie Minogue and I suddenly don't feel like running any more...

Me again,

We are having a leaving party on Friday 14th September at Longford
Park stadium and would like to invite everyone. As Matt says "this is
your chance to make sure we really go". I realise that this is before
Freshers week starts, but we leave on the 18th so cant really have it
any later. We would love if you could make the effort to come as we
are proper leaving on the 18th, for at least three years, so it would
be good to see people before we do.

Bring friends etc. Our one request is that you let us know if you are
comming, and how many people you are bringing. This is just so we can
plan for the right number of people.

See you soon,
Julia

Hi All,
[Kat can you forward to Present Members]

Just a few details for those going on the Training
Weekend this fri, sat, sun at Langsett -
http://www.escape-to.co.uk/view_property.php?id=945ett
YH:

ARRIVAL TIME and CODE
- I have spoken to the YH manager and we can arrive at
the hostel from 2pm on Friday.
- There are no keys for the hostel, only a secret code
to get in the door - 7746. Make sure you note this
down as you'll need it to get in and out.
- We need to leave by 1pm on the sunday and the hostel
has to be cleaned before we leave!!

TRANSPORT
- The nearest train station is Penistone which is 3
miles from the hostel. From there, you can either take
a bus (No.23 or 24 - 1 every 2 hrs, drops you outside
the hostel, nr Wagon and Horses pub). Here is the
timetable:http://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/NR/rdonlyres/46C804D6-03AD-4CEE-8C\
4A-ADC600B266B0/0/232424ABarnsleyValidFrom16thJuly2007.pdf
(and on pdf)
- or book a taxi via Mark at M.T. Tours (07789467212).
Best to do this in advance!
- I am speaking to Kat about arranging a taxi for the
6 present members going.

TOWELS/BEDDING
- Bedding is provided so no need for sleeping bags
- You DO have to provide your own towel though - don't
forget!!

ROOMS
- Present members are going in the 5-bed or the 6-bed
room depending on how many people come.
- Lisa, Carl and Emily need a 4-person room to
themselves
- Everyone else just decide on arrival

MEALS and BEER
- Kat and I thought that for the first night, it would
be good to make our own food to save cash, so I think
a veggie curry would be good - will provide list of
who brings what below. Everyone will need to
contribute some money (£5ish) to food.
- For the sat night, I've booked a massive table at
the Wagon and Horses pub opposite the hostel for
6.30pm dinner!
- Can people bring some beer/wine - there is also the
local pub!

FOOD TO BUY
- Jonny - could you get breakfast and lunch food if
possible? This would be for 25 people for 2 days:
Breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausages, cereal, milk, orange
juice, tea, coffee, bread, butter, jam
Lunch - cheese, meats, rolls, salad, orange squash

[If anyone can help Jonny and take on either lunch or
breakfast that would be great]

- Darren and Si - could you get food for dinner as you
are arriving early on the friday? This would be for
25 people: big bag of potatoes, big bag of carrots, 6
x courgettes, 6 x peppers, 2 x cauliflower, garlic,
massive bag(s) of basmati rice plus korma or masala
sauce (lots of jars) and anything else you think good
for a curry!!

- Me, Louisa, Hazel, Sarah - snacks for 25 people AND
and miscellaneous - crisps, cakes, choc, biscuits,
kitchen foil(let's text to arrange)

RUNNING
- I'll leave this to one of the expert map readers to
sort out - Jonny, Barny??? But would be good to do
one big run all together if poss and then people can
do their own smaller runs? There will be some maps
there but bring one if you have one of the area.

I think I have covered everything, (sorry for the
list-like format!) but let me know if I have put you
down for getting food and you can't or if you discover
you can help out with food/transporting of people from
train station?

See you Friday, I think I will arrive about 6pm,
coming on the train!

Oh and can anyone bring a CD player and CDs??? Or Ipod
with speakers???

Katie (07791514581)

p.s. number of hostel is 01226766245
