Ah whatever, im sure carl will sort something out.
Does that mean if its on the 5th/6th you are coming or are you just not gonna come whatever the plan? I reckon a bit of long hill training will do you good. Plus, the marathon is only 1 day. the rest of the time will be spent in the eateries and taverns of deutschland. You need to devote more time to eating and drinking.

p.s. i still have your plane tickets
p.p.s the peak district is interesting, castleton is different. wales is interesting, scout hut is not different.
No train station in Castleton, nearest is Hope about 2.5 miles away. From a personal point of view I’m not gonna be drinking / running up hills two weeks before the marathon so’ll prob give it a miss. I’d arrange it for a date which suits the majority
(5th / 6th September sounds like a good bet).
p.s. We fly on the 18th Kev
p.p.s I’m kind of with Ben in the view that Training Weekend should be about going somewhere interesting and different, not just somewhere convenient. If its sole aim is to be an opportunity for present members to catch up
we may as well just pop down the Red Lion!

correct me if i'm wrong but I would say that the weekend of the 5th/6th September would be ideal for the Berlin marathoners. It means we can run and drink as normal! plus its not the weekend where everyone is moving back to manc.
I agree with carl, swansea is too far away (or anywhere in south wales). i cant find castleton on the map but as long as its easy to get to by train then it cant be far away. to be fair, anywhere in the peak district would be good as long as theres a pub/shop within a 20 minute walk.
we fly out on the 19th i think.
i vote for the peak district (not that voting really matters in a dictatorship)

All
We are not staying in south wales
I want an easily accessible venue (for people in manchester as opposed to people in cardiff).
Ben what part of local don't you understand.
The Training weekend is meant to be an opportunity for present memeber to catch up so they are not chatting on the Fresher Stall rather than taking money of innocent freshers
When are you flying out to Berlin
