Hey all,

I'm almost brand new to this sport-- I tried it a few years ago on
the Zambezi during my "taking time to find myself" trip through
Africa. Absolutely a religious experience, to say the least. I've
wanted to do it again ever since, but life has a way of getting in
the way...

Anyway, I'm living the life of a suit in LA now. Are there
opportunities (starting with a proper river) to get back into this
sport in So Cal? I would assume the Kern is the closest
possibility. Anyone out there have a suggestion for getting into
this?
