I prefer the short ones, but that is because I spend a good amount of
time out of the water scouting rapids on new runs. Look at it this
way. You can walk around on shore a little easier in short fins, but
you can always take them off and walk around if you have long fins.
If you are doing a good river with great rapids, but long flat water
streches between them, that would be a time for long fins. Anyone
else done any mile or more swims to get to the takeout lately?
