Re: Greetings all...a curiousboarder here : )

Ken,

Man, here I thought you had dropped off the face of the earth and
little did I know you were just laying low all winter and did you
ever come out of the woodwork and ready to go. I second the two
piece idea. You can get the best size if you need different sizes
for the farmer and jacket. You also get extra warmth on the chest
and back from the farmer. Booties-no preference, use your price
checker and good luck finding 7mm. I know they are out there I have
never found them. Booties-I recommend Churchhills. Best price I
have seen is rescue source www.rescue3.com Go with an extra large if
you are getting booties with a sole, large if you are only getting
neoprene socks. Helmet-I like pro-tec. Gives you a little
protection on the sides of your head, and the pads can be removed for
washing after you get home from the river. PFD's if you want max
floation, look at some of the type III/V specialized pfd's on
www.pacificriversupply.com and then check prices on the those
companies. Any type III pfd will work. I just bought one at Walmart
as an extra for demos. If you have the money for it, some of the
paddling/creeking designs for pfd's look like they give a lot of
freedom of movement in the arms. Just remember, you don't want it so
tight that you can move, but you don't want it riding up or slipping
any. Give me a call when you are ready to go. 828-461-2152

Ken, Depending on the ambient temp and the temp of the water, it might be best to get a two piece. That way, if it is cold you can wear both but if it is warm ...
