I'm headed to Peru and Chile in 2 days!
I'm going with a group of 13 people to run the Colca (deepest canyon on earth,
3-6 days,
class V), Cotahuasi (second deepest canyon on earth, 3-6 days, class IV),
Apurimac (2-4
days, class IV), and Urubamba (2-4 days, goes by Machu Pichu, class IV) rivers.
Those 4 rivers
should take about a month or more. So... as far as I know I might be getting a
couple first
descents on my board on this trip. I'll keep you guys updated with some pics n
stuff.
After all the rivers in Peru I'm planning on hiking into Machu Pichu and
checking that
coolness out, then heading down to Chile, probably running some rivers on the
way.
I'm trying to stay down in Chile for the rest of the winter and get a job on the
Futeulafu river
being a raft guide. I'm stoked.
See you in April!
