I think Wes does somthing with tax writeoff, as advertisting cost,
with his tow business by having "Brown's Towing" on his racecar. But I
don't know any of the particulars.

  Cool, I think I can reply with email rather than on the web.

  At All American Speedway they make you burn most the tread off your
tires. I forget what the max tread depth is, but it's enough that the
tires are not good for racing anywhere else with. So you either have
to find a source for used tires, and a lot of places won't sell them
because of liability issues. Or buy new tires and put your bumper
against the fence and burn the thread off them. I have some photos of
this somewhere. I've seen Jeff Bye taking photos of these burnouts
too.

  Not really related to Enduro other than we ran our Enduro cars in
these open class Bomber races. They also had Hornet class races; mini
stocks, all yellow and black. Here's a few photos I took;

Hey Josh, They always say the best way to start is to assist someone
in the pits.  This will give you a good idea of the pace, pit set
up, priorities etc.  You are welcome to join us in Chowchilla.  In
fact if you plan on running your new car at Altamont on the 23rd,
then you should definately join us.
We will get home late, you can crash here if you want.

cameras and video. I was uploading photos to the web "live" from
inside the car while going around the track. We didn't do all that
well; the first race we finished 8th in a field of 26. Then found out
we had three broken valves. Fixed them. The second race we overheated
at about lap 20 in the Main and just pulled it off the track onto the
trailer. We won't be going back up there because we're not competitive
against cars at least 1,000 pounds lighter than us.

  I imagine Roseville still has that lame tread rule. That is the
stupidest rule I have ever seen at any race track. They claim they do
it to reduce the cost of racing, making it more fair for teams without
a lot of money. But in fact it does exactly the opposite. If a team
also races at other tracks then they have to buy two complete sets of
tires, one for Roseville and another for everywhere else.

  They should just tell the truth and say they want people running bald
tires because they want more spins and big wrecks. Because thats what
the fans like to see. It doesn't matter that a team spent a few
thousand dollars putting a racecar together. The officials at All
American want to see you wreck that car. (then whine about low car count)

  If they really wanted to equalize the field they should quit turning
a blind eye to the cars with all the steel reinforcment. At least
Doyle isn't there anymore with steel and cement in his frame punching
holes in the walls (with no damage to his car) and tearing the whole
side off other cars.

  Last I heard John Padjen, who runs Silver Dollar and Plascerville
tracks, was trying to get All American. And he was going to let his
daughter run it. If this ever happens that stupid tire rule will go
out the window.

  Thats why when I put things on the web about enduro I call it "Stock
Car Enduro" so all the motocross racers know it's not *another* bike
enduro site.

Make sure you post some pictures when you get your car.

I have posted on about 4 or so racing sites,  Hopefully we can turn this thing into something that people will visit and participate in.  We should make a flyer to hand out at the enduro races to further pass the word.

The reason for me making this group was for everyone who likes
Enduro Racing. This is a place where we can all talk and share our
ideas. Hopefully this can be a really good group.
