I dont like the tires. More than that, I dont like the fact that they lied about em. My commitment is to Stockton 99 for the rest of the year. They dont deserve the opportunity to destroy our cars with their bullshit track set-up. 12 tires and coke syrup? Done. So done.

Lauren found her dream laptop. Find the PC that’s right for you.

Look forward to it. How is the pit situation? Do they keep the track watered? Transponders? what is different from roseville? I have no issues with the 37 car unless...It should be fun, lets talk some trash in the pits before the race.
See you then.

Hey, just wondering what types of rear end ratios are most effective with a
Turbo 350 transmission? at Stockton, Rooseville, Madera?

Thank you!

So, I assume .273 in drive (3rd) and .241 in second?    What type of RPM range is that hitting?

NO NO NO! You should be in 1st gear only with .273's if your in 2nd or drive or
shifting at all your not even close to where you need to be. You have to get use
to winding the piss out of it, and having confidence that your not gonna blow
up.With these gears you should not even be braking at all,the down gear will
take care of that. Ask the 13x car,he will tell ya.It takes some getting use
to.Just my opinion on this,im sure others will argue me. Good luck

Powerglide gears are 1.82 or 1.72 depending on which one you have. I think the 350 is 1.52 in 2nd right? Or am I missing something? To many numbers to remember for me.

Stock powerglide 1st is 1.76. I ran a 4.10 in my hobby stock and street stock for a 7.21 final on 1/4 mile tracks that were hooked up. When the track was slick we changed the third member to around a 3.8 giving about a 6.7 final. With my Sprint car we run a 7.04 on the 1/4 tracks and a 6.89 for the 3/8. These are finals as we don't have transmissions. If you run too low of a gear in an enduro car and spin over 6k for very long you will probably get too hot and or scatter the motor. The ls1 in my Camero has a factory red line of 6k. With the money the enduro races pay finishing is half the fun. To build what is considered a stock motor that will live running in excess of 5k for a whole race is not cost effective.
We hope we can bring out our turd mobile for at least one race before the season is over.

Powerglide gears are 1.82 or 1.72 depending on which one you have. I think the 350 is 1.52 in 2nd right? Or am I missing something? To many numbers to remember for me.

Yeah.   :)   Same old school paint job from Antioch (and then the enduros).  Where do I know you from?

I agree, 6k rpm for 200 laps is a little too much for my motor.  I am looking for the right gear ratio to span around 3-5k rpm.

Enduro Racing was to be for the fans. The more crashes the better. If you cant miss the tires slow down to avoid them its simple. If you spend to much money on a car to wreck it move up a class where thier is no rough driving. The cars are going faster and faster because we are building race cars not enduro cars. The tracks are paying more to Enduro cars than most all classes how long is this going to last?. Petaluma had tires on the track nobody complained. There are only about 5 Drivers that can win the rest of the cars are racing for 3rd place or worse how fun is that.

Tony, I couldn't agree with you more...I'm and old dirt track Enduro racer. Last year I built a car and went out to Roseville to watch. that's nuts to put all that work into prepping a car and possibly destroy it in one night, when forced into a tractor tire at 55 mph. No thanks...See ya at the dirt tracks.........

the track , well if you like rosevill youll like stockton.
nice banking, wide too, they pit in the infield ,two tires jack ext
bring a cordless impack.
the more drivers you no sure makes racing more like racing,
you never really want to spin a driver you no ,or one that helps you in the pits.
I WILL SAY THIS #98 PONTIAC FIREBIRD BLK HAS GOT NOTHING COMING

Dave-
You are right these are race cars. Is this not an Enduro Race? As long as promotors remember that we will be just fine. Most of the cars are from the upper classes and have be made into Enduro cars because the upper classes don't pay any money. So there are alot of these (pure stock, street stock, american stock, bombers, etc.) with no where to run.
