Re: [welovesourav] shocking talks of buchanan

hi guys
i think we sourav fans should be relax & happy too. see b'coz our Sourav has been retired from indian cricket & he is enjoying his life now. now we should see IPL just as his time-consuming way. whats reason is there for becoming serious? just let him enjoy his time. i am happy b'coz i can see my life-time hero & dada should also be happy b'coz he'll be getting money.so cheers!
also i have a news that dada is going to open a school in Kolkata. such a wonderful thing this is! i wish i can get a job of Accountant there when he will start it.

the article that came in today's Mumbai Mirror. If u see the last few paras of what Buchanan said, one can notice he talks only abt foreign players. I m amazed that he finds players like Morne van Wyk & Moses Henrique (never heard of these two before) much better than the indians in the team. He did not even bother to mention sourav. Does he mean not a single indian is worth in the team.

Looking at his audacity even after such a shameful exit (SRK is hiding somewhere in Mumbai nobody can locate him) I just cant stand the team now, irrespective of ganguly being in the team. I just wish that Dada just dumps them and returns back to India.

KKR Skipper McCullum seeks Lady luck to rescue them out of the current crisis

No end to the team's misery in sight, Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Brendon McCullum concedes the team would need loads of luck to come out of its nightmare in the IPL.

Languishing at the bottom of the table with just one win from nine outings, McCullum said all he and his team mates could do was to try their best and hope for some luck. "I guess we need a lot of luck from here on," a dejected McCullum said.

"We need to clock five wins. We will have to try as hard as we possibly can to get some momentum back our way and get some results in the long-term," said the Kiwi stumper after the team's defeat against Delhi last night.

McCullum himself has been less than impressive in the tournament and the KKR skipper had no qualms admitting that.

Gave everything

"I have been trying to put my heart and soul into my game, but it has not worked in the tournament so far. We have to come back to the things which we have been doing well and be positive. We have to work on how we can get out of this. Perhaps approach the game from that perspective. It is going to be a pretty tough 10 days," he felt.

"Sitting at the bottom of the table is obviously very disappointing for us as a team. But we have to look forward and enhance our performance and play some good cricket, he added.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders coach John Buchanan threw his weight behind Brendon McCullum and said the beleaguered captain should not be singled out for the team's abysmal performance in the Indian Premier League.

"I think one must feel that Brendon came into the tournament as captain under fire from everyone because we made some changes. So one should not blame only the captain," Buchanan said.

"I think cricket is a team game and each one of us is responsible for our performance. Traditional sense says that the captain is responsible but, in fact, everyone is," said the Australian who himself is under pressure after the team's dismal show.

Buchanan admitted the team was in a rut and was not sure if they would bounce back this year. "It has been pretty hard for all of us. I know that we are going to get out of this. I am not sure whether it will be this time or next year. I do know that we are going to come out of this," Buchanan said.

"All we can do is try and play well. But in terms of the things, we need to improve, we will focus on one or two things rather than a range of issues. That will take time," he told IPL's official website.

The coach said some issues needs to be discussed and feels the team needs to do well consistently and remove the negatives to get results. "There are issues which need to be discussed. We need to do consistently well as a team. We didn't have wins and we need to win few matches. We need to remove the negatives in our way.

"As Brendon had pointed out some of our batsmen have been doing well. Morne van Wyk has been very good. And we saw Moses Henrique coming good. Those are good signs and we also have David Hussey joining us soon," he said.

Pathetic catching

Buchanan was happy with the performances of his fast bowlers but agreed the dropped catches didn't do them any good. "If you look at our bowlers, I think Ishant has bowled well. He has been unfortunate. Ajit Agarkar has comeback well. Our fielding has been good but there have been occasions when we have let our team down by dropping few catches. But nonetheless if you look at the side there has been a lot of improvement and I think we have done some good things," he said.
