The success in Ireland just shows that even if 66% of the correct work is done (removal of More and Chappell), it can bring success. Anyway, it seems that despite everything, Sachin and Saurav are more in the process of team building than to settle issues with Dravid and Dravid in his turn is also reciprocating. Altogether, the team spirit is in much better shape.
Also, the three world cup 'mujrims' of Chappell, Jagdale and BCCI are all playing well. Sachin and Yuvraj have excelled. Saurav, although not outstanding, is providing useful contributions at right time. Also one should remember that in Ireland condition, openers are less successful. More wickets fall early and once the ball loses shine, the batsmen have nice time. (Well, Sachin is Sachin!)
In general, it is nice that BCCI is having one egg after another on their faces. First, they couldn't keep their Chappell. Then the sponsors rebelled and ultimately BCCI had to give up a lot of their fabulous earnings. Then, they couldn't settle score with their 'mujrims', i.e. Sachin, Saurav, Yuvraj, the 'senior mafia' and had to settle with the scalp of the lesser mortals like Sehwag and Bhajji. Next was the fiasco with the coach and ultimately, as for the contracts, they had to concede to all the demands of the players. The icing on the cake was Sharad Pawar losing the battle of ICC supremacy for two years.
I wish BCCI to remain busy to clean eggs from their faces in future also, so that they can't meddle with the unity of the players and India, even under the apology of a captain, can attain at least an acceptable rate of success.
