Road Season Calendar Dates Lottery   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #15 of 1192 |
Everyone,

As promised, we're going to do a lottery system to see who gets to choose
first for their race dates.

Here is the list of schools I have that I'm assuming would like to host a
race this coming road season (based on teams who hosted a race last year):

1. UC Santa Barbara
2. UC Santa Cruz
3. UC San Diego
4. UC Davis
5. UC Berkeley
6. UC Irvine
7. UCLA
8. Cal Poly SLO
9. Cal Poly Pomona
10. San Diego State
11. Stanford
12. University of Nevada, Reno

I have used a random number generator (http://random.org/sform.html) to come
up with the lottery pick for the order of selection for the calendar spots
for race weekends using a 1-12 random sequence generator (which map to the
numbers of the schools listed above).

Here is the order of selection that was generated:

12. Univeristy of Nevada, Reno
7. UCLA
3. UC San Diego
11. Stanford
1. UC Santa Barbara
8. Cal Poly SLO
5. UC Berkeley
9. Cal Poly Pomona
6. UC Irvine
4. UC Davis
2. UC Santa Cruz
10. San Diego State

That said, I need everyone on this list who is planning to host a race to
get back to me by this Friday at 6pm with their preferred race date, along
with two alternate backup dates.

Again, here's what I expect:

1. Hear from the promoting school by email by Friday at 6pm (PST).
2. You must list your preferred date, along with two alternate backup dates
for your race weekend.

Teams that don't follow these instructions will lose their lottery spot,
period (no exceptions). They will only get their opportunity to choose a
race date after everyone else (who follow directions) select theirs.

-Alden

I'll give my (unofficial) take on the situation. Talking about road season now as opposed to MTB conferences gives people an extra time to plan races. My...
