Saturday, May 31 to raise fund for Earthquake Victims in China.

We need your great help for this event - bringing things to sell;
volunteer; spreading news to your friends to participate the sale.

We especially need more families to bring things to sell because so
far we only have about 20 families confirmed to bring things to sell. We
need a lot of more families!

Attached the event poster is for your convenience to spread news. By
the way, the poster is created by our women club member, Guo Ying.

Charity Yard-Sale Fundraising for Earthquake Victims in China
News Release

Earthquakes devastated parts of China on May 12th, 2008. To date they
found more than 32,000 bodies and they expect the death toll to
exceed 50,000. Tens of millions in the same region survived the
quake, but their lives are nothing but suffering and pain. News
reports touched us all. After wiping our eyes dry, area Chinese
differing in religion, dialect, and background band together for
comfort. We, local Chinese associations and groups in Waterloo
region, suggested hosting a yard sale to raise funds. We decide to
work together to aid the earthquake victims and we ask and thank you
for your help and support.

When: Saturday, May 31, 2008 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Where: 580 Weber Street West, Waterloo, Ontario. Parking lot of
NCR at the intersection of Weber and Northfield
What: All are welcome as venders and buyers or both.

Venders: bring items you want to sell and we assign you a space. Then
donate your proceed to the collecting station. Receipts will be
issued if you want. Wokwagon and some local Restaurants will offer
Chinese food for donations during lunch time. All collected donations
will be transferred to the quake areas in China through various
channels.

Rainy day: In case of raining on May 31, the yard sale will be
rescheduled on Jun 7th. Further notices will be available from our
websites.
