hey ward! thank you so much for the autograph you
gave me friday afternoon after you qualified. you and
about 10 or 15 other drivers were kind enough to come
over to autograph alley and visit the fans and you
actually returned my pen to me (unlike that rat kyle petty
who race off with it!) LOL (he did return it a few
minutes later after realizing his mistake) Good luck this
weekend and tell jeff to get an athletes direct account
huh?!?! go 22 car!
Hello,newbie here.

It's good to see that
there's an official club for the hardest working driver
in NASCAR...Ward Burton!

I was at the Pepsi
400 and enjoyed the heck out of watching Ward's
strong run.

I'm hoping to see the #22 in victory
lane at
Pocono.

BT
Nicole,

We aggree with you. Ward is doing
quite well. We want to point out if you really pay
attention to him you will find he is a really good driver.
He is very cool and level haded during every
situation he faces( and there has been many). We also
noticed everyone turns their cars on in a hurry, but Ward
is real casual about it. He also went on the grass
to avoid getting pentalized by Nascar from going to
fast on Pit Road. That was good, fast thinking. He was
real cool about it. He should be a safty teacher for
the regular road. There should be more regular
drivers like him. Everyone would be safer. Be neat if we
could get a Ward chatroom together some night with the
club members. Email is wal3622@...
Up until this year, every time I would tell
someone, "I am a Ward Burton fan", they would either say
who or just snicker... I am so proud of Ward because
I have stuck with him through all the snickering
and he is really proving himself this season... I
think he should be commended for the great
accomplishments made this year... It will not be long, in my
opinion, that the new name to like will be Ward Burton and
not Jeff Gorden. Even though no races have been won
this season, they have all been impressive.
Esspecially when a man can start back in the 20's get to 5 or
6 slot, drop back to the back with just a few laps
to go and get back up into the top ten... to me that
is winning the race....
Mr. and Mrs. Burton:
My son wjmckelvey saw
Sarah on t.v. previous to
Ward's appearance in Ocean
City, Md. He asked me if he could write her. I said it
would be best to ask you. Well he got a little excited
seeing his first driver and lost his nerve. He has since
written Sarah through your fan club. With your permission
perhaps she could write him. They are the same age, and
need I say more. Your kind attention in this matter
will be most appreciated.
Perhaps, you remember us.
We were up front; after the four teens. My husband
thanked you for coming
(my husband was a older man),
my son wore round wire glasses, I had aurburn hair,
a nascar t-shirt,denim shirt, and wire glasses. Wj
is a great kid, an A student and has acheived awards
in writing. He was voted mostly to succeed by his
class. Thank you all
again.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Susan Mckelvey

email us at

I HOPE YOU WIN SOON, AND I HOPE TO BE PRESENT AT
TALLADEGA THIS FALL TO WATCH YOU WIN! GOOD JOB AT DAYTONA!
I BELIEVE YOU WOULD HAVE WON THAT ONE IF NOT FOR
THAT CAUTION, MAN YOU WERE COMING ON! KEEP IT UP!!
Maybe the turtle was the good luck charm the team needed after the past couple
of weeks. Great save, too, by the way! Still haven't come down from Saturay
night. Woo Hoo! On to NHIS!
Hi Ward!!

Congradulations on a great
finish in Daytona! I think you would have been there
with the top 3 had the race not finished under
caution. The fresh tires had you moving like a rocket!! We
are partial, but we think you would have taken the
checkered flag!! MFCAT2

Hi Ward Fans! Anyone heading up to NHIS for the race weekend? Looking for
fellow Ward Fans to get together and cheer on the CAT Team! Please email me.
Wishing the CAT team great luck at Daytona!
The curse is still out there. 6 laps to go. Terrible impact. Dear God, hope
that Ward is okay. The CAT team did a great job coming from a 26th starting
position on a road course.
Terrible to see Jeff out so early, but your late
race crash with Benson broke my heart. Valiant effort,
Ward! The rest of the team, too! We are pulling for
you. The win is coming. Good luck over the next couple
of days at NHIS! Wish I could get out of work to go
over.
Just want to emphasize the fact that Ward is
having a great year. I'm really sorry about his luck at
Pocono. Better luck next race. Ward, I really think that
you'll get 1 or 2 or 3 wins this
year. Good luck.
Ward I was pulling for you all afternoon and I
was just devistated when Benson took you out of the
race. Nascar really need to make up some rule for
lapped cars, espically at the end of the race. I know
you and Jeff will bounce back from your bad luck at
Pocono. Good Luck at Sears Point
he was doing awesome!! He definitely would have
gotten a top 10 if it wasn't for that accident. He will
get a win this year!! Too bad for Jeff too, I want
him to win the championship this year. Hopefully Jeff
will get past Jarrett.
Ward, this is a pretty cool club. I don't know if
you know me, but you know my husband, Chuck Wiley
that works on Mike Moorefield's Late model car.
Anyway, Just wanted to let you know you have all of us
pulling for you, especially when we were in
Charlotte.

Brooke
Thanks for the invite to the Club!! It's great. The pictures Posted of Ward
are wonderful!!! I think this will be a wonderful club!! Thanks for starting
it!
Ward thanks for the invite. This club is so
great. I feel very honored to be a member of your
official club. Good Luck at Pocono I wish I could be there
but I will be at Julys race. I guess thats better
than not going to any race at all. Thanks again for
the invite. :)
hello all, thanks for the invite and for joining
my burton brothers club! that's cool of you. anyway,
i've been to pocono before and i'm going again in july
(can't go this weekend tho :-( anyway, the track at
pocono itself is huge, and depending on where you sit,
the view is either awesome or horrible. i have pit
passes this year (double woohoo) and i can't wait to get
there. see you all around!
Great pics!!!! I wish I'd been closer to the pit
area. I would have loved to get some good shots of the
car for myself. Hope this weeks race goes well!!! I
would love to go the Pocono race sometime. It is an
interesting track, plus it is in a beautiful
setting.

Go Ward!!!!
Hello, I finally made it to a live race and it
was the most exciting thing I have ever done. I know
everyone said it was boring, but I loved every minute. Of
course I'm glad it was only 2 hrs because I was sitting
clear in the middle of a crowd and couldn't stand up,
let alone get out. I like lots of drivers and felt
like I was only holy ground. I've watched for so many
years on the TV that it was a really cool experience.
We were in turn one and had a great view of the
pits. I think I got a picture of Ward leaving the pits.
I took quite a few.Hope this site does well, I've
just started joing a few and I love to discuss the
races and my favorite drivers. Which both Burton's are
among!!!
