So, Nate may have passed on a message to you…( I saw him on Friday night at Toledo Lounge.), although I was a bit “out of it” so not sure what was passed along. 

Anyway, I don’t think SEED can put together a team this year.  We have space for it this spring and I was really pushing for it, but the athletic director wants to make sure that if it happens, it really happens.  If you start up a charter team, then please let me know… I may be able to find some kids for that kind of endeavor.  The athletic director here is going to try to put ultimate in to the PE curriculum next year and hopefully spark interest that way so that we can develop a team for next year.  Getting kids motivated at SEED is a major event and a slow process.  They had problems getting kids on the basketball teams this year.  (It’s the first year of any sort of athletic program.)

Anyway, that’s our situation for now. 

Good luck with everything.  If you ever need help with clinics or something and need a teacher/helper, please let me know.  It would a great way for me to get some of the SEED kids out.

Hi WAFC Jr.

We are hoping to have the list of teams that are playing by the end
of this weekend. The bad news is that Sundays don't work well for the
Field School and Maret because their students receive PE credit for
ultimate. I'm not sure if they're going to end up being able to do it
or not, but if they can't, I would like to encourage all the schools
to schedule games with them at other times.

So far, the teams that are in, as far as I can tell (meaning, they
put their info in the 'Database' section), are:
Yorktown
Blair
Sidwell
Wilson
New School of Northern Virginia
BCC
St. John's
JDS (Their contact info isn't in there but that's because their
invite got messed up)

That's eight teams. I would be shocked if Georgetown Day and
Cathedral didn't join the league; they've had teams for years. Where
are you guys? Same to MacGruder, SEED, etc. Please let me know if
you'll be able to field a team. If you have any problems, please let
me know.

Also, almost no teams have put dates on the calendar when they cannot
play (so far only Wilson, Sidwell, and JDS have). If you can make any
Sunday we schedule you for, that's fine. Otherwise, please mark the
Sundays that your school will be able to attend.
