This is a last call for a WAFC Jr team to represent and come to the Tidewater Tuneup.  Some schools are coming from as far away as Pittsburg.  This is comparitively right in your back yard 2.5 hours away.   It is a great chance to play a fall ulti tourney.

If you are intimidated by the transportation/housing issues I can help you with both of those.
My team is taking a charter bus, has hotel reservations made.
I am not offering these things for free but I am offering to let you piggy back on our organization.
All you need are 2 adults and 5$ per kid for the UPA.

Dave

Coaches/Captains,
This is an update on Tidewater Tuneup 07. check out the seedings. Let me
know if you think they need adjusted.

First, We are going to have 16 boys teams and are still shooting for 8 girls
teams. We still need one more boys team to make the full 16...so if you know
anyone, please forward this to them. Check the attached info sheet to see if I
have recorded your payment or not.

Second, The size of the boys tournament is going to max out the fields we have
reserved for the tournament. This means that the girls tournament will take
place at a seperate site in Williamsburg. Most likely, it will be at Berkeley
Middle School or Waller Mill Elementary School in Williamsburg (you can look
those names up online if you need to). Those fields will be a 10-15 minute
drive from the boys fields. They will be great fields, but on a smaller complex
(space for 3-4 fields). I apologize if this creates an inconvenience for
anyone, but it just isn't possible to host that many on 6 fields at Chickahominy
Park. We will most likely have a later start time for the girls to give them
time in case they have to first go to the guys fields and drop teamates off.
The pizza will be served at the guys fields.

Third: The capt's meeting will be at 8:30am on Saturday. The first round will
start at 9am. The last round will be a coaches vs. Captain's game (coed) while
everyone else eats pizza and watches. So coaches...get in shape.

Fourth: Below are the answers to the questions about rostering. This is a UPA
sanctioned event...so each player must have a waiver on file or bring one, bring
a completed medical release form, a chaperone form for each team, and a paper
roster. See Melanie Byrd's (UPA)email below. Please do not mail your paper
stuff to the UPA, though. I would rather you bring it the day of.

Let me know if you have any questions,,

Melanie,
I have some questions about the online rostering system.

1. If a team creates their roster online and has every player's status as
complete, do they need to bring anything with them to turn in to me the day of
the tourney? I know they need to have the medical release forms on hand, but do
I still need a paper roster and paper waivers if their status is showning
complete online?
As long as rosters list all participating players then they do not need to bring
a copy of the roster to the event.
Any player that has a "Complete" waiver status does not need to bring a waiver.
Any player that has a "Complete" membership status does not need to pay a fee.
Youth players will all need to bring completed Medical Authorization Forms.
Those forms go to the chaperone of that team and stay in their possession
throughout the course of the event. Those forms do not need to be submitted to
you or the UPA (but you are responsible for making sure they have them).
Chaperone's should turn in a completed chaperone form to you. You should submit
those to the UPA.

2. As a fall Youth tournament, there is a high likelyhood of teams having new
members that aren't current UPA members. Last year, they paid the $5 (one time
event fee) and turned in a waiver. Is that still the same?
Yes. http://www.upa.org/outreach/sanctioning/guidelines#DF

3. If I need to collect paper rosters the day of the tournament, is there a
specific format you would prefer?
It is preferred that teams submit rosters using the form online at
