I warned you about this 3 weeks ago and now the weekend is (suddenly) here.
As expected it is beautiful fall ultimate weather and there are open fields at Silgo.
This Sunday Sept 23rd WAFC Jr will be hosting the September Sombero Smackdown.
Where: Silgo Middle School
When: 11am - 3pm
What: Everyone who shows up puts their name in a sombero. We randomly draw out names
to build the teams.We do a little bit of coaching/team building and then you play at least 2 games of ultimate.
Who: That's up to you. Its open to all DC area High School ultimate players. You are welcome to bring your whole team or just a few returning senior studs. This is a great opportunity to play if you dont have a team at your school yet or as a way to show on-the-fence kids how awesome ultimate can be.
Also if you are thinking of applying for the 2008 US Junior National Ultimate Team ( http://www.upa.org/programs/intl/USJuniors )
this is a great chance to show off your stuff, meet with some folks who could write you reccomendations.
Talk this up with your friends and teammates and get a sense of how many folks want to go.
Please respond to this email by Thursday Noon and let us know as best you can how many you are bringing so we can plan accordingly.
