Okay, so this is a nice long debate.... and I shall now provide a
girl's perspective. I don't like the idea of gender ratios for a
couple reasons. One, I spent a summer playing savage because there
was a gender ratio and I was the only girl showing up. I can't
survive another season like that. Two, having a ratio makes
everything too structured - ew. Third, its not fair to the girls who
play with all guys teams and don't get thrown to. They may be the
best players, but its a guy thing - the girls will still be banished
to wings, and still not touch a disc more than three times a game.
Fourth, playing against guys makes me better. Just because I'm a girl
doesn't mean I'm not a threat. Fifth, if the poor all-boys school
guys really want to talk to girls, tell them to come over and say hi
to the B-CC team, we'll introduce them around.
