One last reminder that rec league registration is due on Tuesday. If you (or you and a buddy) want to improve your skills and play organized games, then rec league is for you. The great thing about rec ultimate is that it’s a cheap ($25) and easy for individuals to sign up to play in a league. The average age of a rec player is probably around 25, but there are invariably a few college and high school men and women on every team. Here is the link to the online registration page (http://wafc.org/beginReg.action). Note that under “baggage” you can designate a friend to be on your team, so you don’t have to go it alone. One tricky thing about rec league is getting to the game. All fields are metro accessible, but quite a few are in the city where it's easy to get lost. Let's say you only want to play in games in Maryland. On the registration form you can indicate that you will only attend about half of the games.
It looks like there will be about two Wafc jr events this Fall, details to follow.

Register for Fall Rec League - 2005
Rec League games will be played on Sundays. Games will start at 11 AM, 1 and 3 PM at either Anacostia, Sligo or Montgomery Hills. The cost is $25 per person. Registration will close at midnight on Tuesday, September 6th.
The League will commence on September 11th; and go until the beginning of November. Tournament weekend is still TBD.
Experienced players are encouraged to volunteer to be captains! WE NEED VOLUNTEERS. Don’t make me call and twist arms.
