Hi John,
My apologies. I reread what I wrote and I was not very clear. I
meant to say that Robbie was the best non Japanese technician I've met
outside of Japan. I consider Mr Suzuki, Mr Shiomitsu and Mr Ohgami to
be in another elevated category. But outside of that I will easily
put Robbie up there after them. This is certainly just my opinion. I
have not met everyone. Perhaps my circle is rather small, especially
in Europe since my travels and seminars are limited to certain parts
of Europe. But from what I've seen either first hand or via video I
stand by what I said. He is certainly better than anyone in the US.
Don't get me started. But that's not really the point, is it? The
point is that there is a tremendous asset in someone's backyard and it
is a shame they do not take advantage of it.
Robbie Smith, Reg Kear, Norma Foster, these people are all very
special and have a technical quality about them that most others don't
have. It is a shame to waste that. The same thing goes for Mr
Suzuki, Shiomitsu and Ohgami. People should be going out of their way
to train with them if they have the opportunity.
