New Zealand is a small country like Israel, right.
Why do you guys let politics get in the way? I am here in Israel alone for the JKF Wadokai.
My friend in Jerusalem, Dovid, is affiliated with the WIKF of Suzuki sensei.
Does that bother us? no...If we get together we train and have a good laugh and try to learn from eachother.
There is another group who call themselves Wado, they really shut themselves. Never affliated or interact with anyone outside themselves.
They totally went off. They made their own "Wado".
Wado is difficult. You definitely need somebody to correct you.
I don't want to get into your domestic politics (I hate politics), but when you have a 6th dan of any of the 3 "International" Wado Organizations in a small country like you and me, I know where you could find me.
My teacher is in Wadokai, for that reason so am I. But if there would settle a 6th dan of Academy or WIKF here in Israel I am sure he would tell me to train there.
It is training, not affiliation. Learning not politics.
Robbie is freaking good. I would think twice to pass an opportunity to train and learn from him.
Just my two cents
Yours
Jaron

Hi Reg,
Kapiti, New Zealand. Although that's technically "across the ditch" to Australia ...
As a side note - my club is a very small Wado Ryu club which is not affiliated with one of the wider international branches. I can't speak for my Sensei (or club) as to if this will ever change.
For no particular reason we don't interact with the Hamilton Wado Kai club (Yoshin Wadokan), but we're very aware that they have some international recognition via Robbie Smith.

Brian
