Hello Wado and Budo friends,

Just want to share this to you all. I had my Nidan test in 2001, and received the certificate at the same year. Then (I think) I had tested for Sandan in 2004. Didn't get the promotion yet, because Taman Sensei said my punches need more "power" into it. Okies, no big deal, I just train harder. Besides, at that same year I received an Jujutsu promotion to Sandan (Dentokan faction of Hakko-ryu) from Hobbs sensei, so I think I shouldn't be too greedy, heh heh!

Then sometime around late February 2008 sensei said "be prepared to test for Karate Sandan". So, I tested in the middle of March, and finally received the Sandan certificate last week. I was tested together with Ari san, Taman sensei's son. Sensei didn't make it any easier for me or him. We both passed. I never thought I'm gonna make it!   Whew, nearly 7 years from Nidan to Sandan..I must have been a slowlearner!

I thank you all for your support and guidance for all these years. Without your friendships, there were times I feel like quitting, long ago. The Wadokarate  Yahoogroup  makes me feels like I am not alone in my Wado journey!
