Hi Tim,
yep it's a very young Shiomitsu in tanto dori and high tamashiwari.
He then returns to retrieve his glasses from the table.
He was built like a razor in those days.
Also Takamizawa is the three way board break that has
to change hands. Kono is the referee on the dance nearest the
camera - Hyakawa and Fujii are also there but I can't see any
familiar faces among the gaijin.
The venue is Crystal Palace. London.
squirming a bit.

Subject: [Wado Forum] Old film footage
Dear Group,
This one is particularly for the old boys from the UK.
Check out this aged film footage from British Pathe News:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04jfCN3yCJw&mode=related&search=
It would be nice to identify who is on there, I know it is over 40 years ago.
Good to see Suzuki Sensei refereeing and demonstrating kata and Tanto Dori.
Not sure who his Uke is for the Tanto, but earlier in the film Shiomitsu
Sensei is sitting as a corner judge looking...thoughtful. Could be him, but I
have my doubts.
