Bo Kata in Wado   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #3137 of 10171 |

I was getting my browse on, and I ran across the WKA or Wado Karate
of America Association.

In their homepage, they seem to use a Bo or staff quite often. It
even seems to be on their Black belt test.

If there are any members of the WKA in this forum, could someone give
some background on the Bo training. It might be Jo training.

I ask this because I have never run across bo training in my Wado
studies.

I post this honestly on the grounds that in Aikido, we use the Jo to
learn distance and balance. I am curious to how it is used in Wado
and what are some of the techniques.

Sincerely,

Jon Hicks
