The message below is from Margot Shumway. She has coached for W-L 2 out of the past 3 years. The middle year she was rowing for the US National Team in the Quad and competed at the World Championships. Last year she was injured and she is now back on the road to her Olympic and National Team goals. She, her doubles partner and another National Team hopeful are looking for rooms/house to rent in the Arlington area which is close to our boathouse where they are currently training in hopes of making an Olympic boat for the 2008 summer games.

 

If anyone has information I should pass along to her please let me know. These are really great women and any help we can give them is appreciated.

Derek,
How is everything going with the new group? When will you guys start coming to the boathouse? January? Who is coaching the novice girls this year?
 
I wanted to also ask if you have heard through the grapevine of any affordable two bedroom apartments in the Rossyln/Clarendon area? Or any houses/rooms that someone would be willing to rent. Reilly, myself, and Sarah Trowbridge are looking for places starting in December and location/rent are the most important. We have just one car. We're looking in the range of $1500 per month or cheaper.
