Dear Crew Parents and Other Friends of W-L Crew --
It is the off-season, but we do have three jobs that need to be done this summer. Please let me know if you can help with any of these:
Car Wash Facilitator
We need a parent to work with the captains in managing the Crew car washes in August. The car washes this summer will be at W-L from 10am to 2pm on the following Saturdays:
July 14, July 28, August 4, August 11, and August 18.
Charlie Monfort (Claire's dad) is handling the first two, but we need an adult to work the final three.
Trailer Tower
We need one or two additional drivers with vehicles that can tow the Crew trailer. George Allen (Zach's dad) has been doing all of this for us so far. This summer we would like to get the trailer to the car washes for advertising, and it would be a good way to see if this is something that you and your vehicle can handle.
Manager for October 6 Alumni Party
The Boosters are sponsoring a reception for the 50th reunion class of W-L Crew and selected other years at Potomac Boat Club on Saturday, October 6. The manager will work with the coordinator of the alumni class on arrangements for the reception and for the dedication of the "Billy Parker" men's boat, purchased earlier this year and generously supported by alumni contributions to the Boosters and to the new endowment fund.
