All,
We'll its done. The hardest part, the waiting, is over. It's now 2005. I
hope that you all had a great 'break'. I hope you all had a chance to
recharge your batteries by visiting with family and friends, dining on great
eats and getting some much needed rest.
I can't say that 2004 was my best year but I can say that I am the most
excited about an upcoming season as I've ever been. I know it's going to be
the best season for W-L Crew in many years, even better then last year.
Besting last season’s accomplishments by our team will take an awful lot
from everyone. We will have to work harder and be even more resolved to do
our best at every opportunity. I hope this will start with Winter
Conditioning. If you are not involved in an after school activity please
join us. Commitment to our 2005 season, if it hasn't started yet has to
start now. No more 'summertime patriots'. It's going to be cold. It's going
to be hard. It's not going to be all that much fun. But what it will be is
worth the effort.
Dates to look forward to are:
Jan. 15th - 4th Annual Triathlon
Jan. 29th - Mid-Atlantic Erg Sprints
Feb. 11-13th - CRASH-B’s (more info to come quickly)
Feb. 23rd - The start of the 2005 season
I hope you see that I put that Feb. 23rd is 'the start' of the season, but
the race has already started. Many teams are already working hard to improve
their chances against us. We need to match them. Remember it's not how hard
you work but how well you work. Let's get all we can out of the next 8
weeks, that's right only 8 weeks left. Girls will be starting back
Monday(tomorrow). Gentlemen I'll see you Tuesday.
Derek
