All,

I wanted to send out a really big thank you to Laura Woodbury, current
Booster President and W-L Crew Alumni and other boosters as well as current
team members for putting on a really great event. The Alumni BBQ which was
coordinated by the W-L Crew Boosters was really a great event. It was great
to see so many members of our family that come back to share in good food
and company. I had a wonderful time talking with a lot of alumni from many
different years. The alumni represented members from the 1950's to 2000's.
It was really a great event to start our push towards what we all hope is
the best year yet for W-L Crew. Thanks to all who were able to make it. I
hope we can keep up this wonderful tradition of sharing the truly wonderful
things W-L Crew is all about with our friends and families.

I also wanted to thank Millie and the entire Butt Family for their continued
support. Millie and Sarah Butt were there selling T-Shirts made for the
Charlie Butt Scullers Head of the Potomac which was unfortunately cancelled
for the 2nd year in a row due to weather conditions. They were selling
T-shirts(which were made in advance of the regatta's cancellation) for $15
each and also selling tickets for a drawing of a mountain bike to help fund
the Charlie Butt Memorial Scholarship they give to a very deserving W-L Crew
Senior each year.
