Well, Congratulations to Justin Gries, Joanne Aspinall, and Who Hucks to the Huckers, 2009 Spring League Champs.

 

A hotly-contested game was played against The Mark of Zorro.  Lots of really great plays and definitely something to watch.

 

It's been a great league and the next co-ed league will be this fall, likely to be titled, 2009 Fall League.  But, until then, come out and support the upcoming Women's League.  Go to the games and encourage your friends to sign up.  It's a great way for them to build skills and learn in a less-aggro environment.  But, don't be fooled, Tricky and the ladies have been working on their game faces.  So, come on out, have a beer, make some friends, and expect to see some quality ultimate.  I know that I will.  Thursday nights in June and July at Benedict (where Saturday play-offs were.)

 

Otherwise, keep your ears open.  There are a couple Hat tournaments this summer, in Moab and Durango, likely we'll do one here and they'll likely be a night hat in Tucson.  Plus, other tourneys like Flagstaff, Long Beach, etc.  If you want to go, put the word out.  Teams from Phoenix go all the time.  And, even though teams are usually limited on space, it's a lot easier to put a team together than you think.  And, some folks can even just pick-up with other teams.  If you want to play, there are definitely places to play.
