Larry and Laura Dues welcomed their new family, Carson and Sydney, just in time to ring the tax-deduction bell on Sunday, December 31!  Mom and babies are fine, Dad is hyperventilating but beginning to get his breathing under control.  Here is his description of the event (with links to baby pics!).

  It was pretty exciting, I must say.  Laura's water broke at about 7:50 Sunday morning (with essentially no warning).  We were out the door 5 minutes later.  Laura's contraction were 3 minutes apart.  Got to hospital at 8:20.  We get to L&D at 8:30.  They take her to delivery at 8:45.  They tell me to gown up.  I'm on the phone calling family, and they tell me to shut the phone off at about 8:57.  Carson came out at 9:01 after 3 pushes.  Sydney was breach, and they could not get her to turn.  So, she came C-Section at 9:18.  I went from reading Family Circus to having one in less 90 minutes. 
  I no longer on the VOTS distribution.  But, if you want to send out the info, that would be great.

Carson Thomas, born 9:01AM, 12/30/07, 3 lbs 12 oz, 14.8 inches
Sydney Christine, born 9:18AM, 12/30/07, 3lbs 14 oz, 15.7 inches

Laura is doing fine.  Babies are in NICU, but doing very well for twins born at 31 weeks.
