First things first: Thanks to Laurie Starr for stepping up to
coordinate league! If you have questions about league, she's the
person to ask. It's a big job, so help out where you can (captaining,
coning, capping, etc).

Second, VOTS carries a general liability insurance policy that allows
us to rent fields from Tempe. Rates have increased by quite a bit, so
that cost is being built in to league, so registration will cost a
little more than in the past. Early registration will be $25 and
regular registration will be $30.

Speaking of registration, that will up soon. There have been some
snafus with our online registration vendor, but print registrations
should be available on the vots website Wednesday night.

Due to the above issues (among other things) the start and end dates
of league are being moved back a week. This is the (final) schedule:
League starts Tues Feb 28
Regular season ends Thur April 27
Pool play 4-10 pm Sat April 29
semis 8-10 pm May 1
finals 8-10 May 3

If you've skipped over the previous emails, league is back to Tuesday
& Thursday nights. Teams will play their games mostly on the same day
of the week (ie teams will either play 8 Tu/1 Th or 1 Tu/8 Th). All
games will be from 8-10 pm, except for 2 games on Feb 28 that will be
from 6-8)\, so no worries about traffic. All games will be at Benedict
Park (Guadalupe & Kyrene).
