this from the main page:

Late last night VB.net reported breaking news that a possible deal sending
Daunte Culpepper to the St. Louis Rams for current starting quarterback Marc
Bulger and a "mid-round" selection was iminent. This was confirmed by two
sources close to the situation, one of which came directly from within the Rams
organization.
The news appears to have changed as of early this morning however, when Vikings
board confirmed with no less than two sources that there are now other players
in the mix.
"After the news of the Rams' offer became public, two other highly interested
clubs decided to jump into the fray with more serious offers" said one source
out of Minnesota. The other insider is telling us that the club most interested
now is Oakland and "another AFC team".
Vikingsboard believes that team is the Miami Dolphins, but our insider refused
to confirm or deny that.
More information to follow.

And then this from their messaging community:

Okay, I just got off the phone with someone from Eden Prarie and this is the
situation:
After news broke late last night of the Bulger package, two teams that had
previously displayed interest in Culpepper contacted the Vikings with deals that
were significantly more attractive than what they had previously offered.
One of those teams is definitely Oakland, who seems to want Culpepper pretty
badly. The other team is a mystery, as the guy I was speaking to refused to
reveal the identity, even off the record (which is bizarre). Usually they will
at least offer something off the record.
The second person I spoke with basically confirmed what the source out of
Minnesota said, and also seemed to know about the other offer, but played it
just as cool.
The only thing I can assume at this point is that team #2 has made it
EXPLICITLY clear that they do not want their identity leaked at this point in
time, because they don't want to show their hand to the rest of the league. I am
assuming that it is a team that has something to lose either in free agency or
the draft if other teams knew they were interested in a QB...
That said though, the second source did reveal something that our friend in
Eden Prarie wouldn't; he told me that it was an AFC team....
So my gues is Miami. However that is JUST A GUESS. I have no proof of that
whatsoever.
It woulkd make sense to some degree, however Miami shouldn't care about who
knows that they are interested in Culpepper, because A.) they've flashed
interest in the past and B.) They pick #16 int he draft and have nothing to lose
by showing this hand...
Like I said, Miami is just a guess.
Another option could be Baltimore.
Stay tuned. Ted and I are working the phones hard for you on this one.
