One of our Boroondara BUG members, John Parker, has raised the issue of the lack of standardisation or official registration of Victorian trail names. This is of concern as trails need to be identified on various occasions: eg when contacting emergency services, when lobbying for council funding, and on signage. We hope to interest Bicycle Victoria in taking up this issue I have attached a listing of Victorian trails prepared by John. We would be interested in any responses to this list. Do people accept the names used? Are there any trails that should be added to the list? Does anyone have any suggestions about how best to achieve the goal of standardising and registering these trail names.
